Don’t Rush to Sell

This Tip is almost an extension of the last post about not killing your market. Another Auction House mistake problem that I have seen people make and have made myself is being in a rush to sell and getting next to nothing for my items. Sometimes you will get done farming or grinding and run back to the auction house and see that it is absolutely flooded with the item you are trying to sell or that the price of the item has dropped significantly.

The next thing that most people do is throw up all there hard earned items for next to nothing and log off disgusted. However, this is totally wrong and will quickly make you very frusterated. Instead all that you have to do is wait. If people are selling way below the norm then just buy them out, put it in the bank and wait. The market flooding will end and the other items will sell out. You will be able to sell your items and get your gold as long as you are patient. Give it a day or two and you will see that the price you can get is much better and you can sell much quicker.

Basically sometimes you have to wait on selling until the selling conditions turn favorable. Do not rush to sell when the market is bad because it is a waste of your time and items. The more patience you have the more gold you will make.

Sell your Goods - Don’t Kill Your Market!

If you are serious about making Gold in World of Warcraft then you are definitely using the Auction House often. If you have a profession such as skinning or mining or you are farming for stacks of trade goods then you will certainly have quite a few stacks when you are ready to sell. When you get to the Auction House and see other people selling the same thing that you are the natural reaction is to price your items a bit lower than the lowest one, put them all up and then get back to what you were doing.

This is the last thing that you want to do! If you start listing tons of items below the lowest seller then you are effectively killing your own market. Once other sellers see a ton of stacks that you listed they will be forced to undercut you and continue the cycle. Even if you sell all of your goods you will not get the best prices for them and you may ruin the market for those items for quite a long time. Instead you should list for slightly below average prices and only list a couple at a time. If you are selling goods that are used for crafting professions they will sell out quickly anyways and you will make even more gold for the same time spend gathering or farming. And most importantly you will not ruin your chance to sell the same item in the future.

So in summation make sure that you are patient and you do not undercut others and flood the market. The long term costs far outweigh the short term gains.

Reselling Patterns from Azshara

There are some limited patterns and schematics that you can use in your buy and sell business. What’s nice about these patterns is that you have access to them even if you’re just at level 1. Yup, you read that right. You can start making money with your level one toon.

The patterns and schematic that I’m pertaining are available from Jubie and Blimo Gadgetspring in Azshara. Gadgetspring is a small facility on the border of Durotar and Azshara. This might sound complicated but it’s not. If you’re Horde like me, to get there you must swim to the northeast of Durotar until you see the building where the Gadgetsprings live. You might encounter a couple of level 52 to 55 mobs along the way in the building and at level 1 you probably might not have any chance against them. Don’t worry about dying. If you die, do a corpse run and resurrect inside the building.
Once inside, check what Jubie Gadgetspring has to offer. She sells various engineering supplies but what we came here is for the Schematic: Deepdive Helmet. This limited stock recipe has a respawn rate of 10 to 20 minutes. I’m not really sure of the exact time. It sells for only 36silver and could be placed in the Auction House for at least 10gold. Now that’s a huge profit.

Standing next to Jubie is Blimo Gadgetspring. He’s a trades supplies vendor and sells two limited leatherworking patterns. The first one is the Pattern: Blue Dragonscale Breastplate. It costs 2gold and could fetch at least 20gold in the Auction House. Then there’s the Pattern: Chimeric Gloves. It costs 2gold and 20silver from Blimo. Last time I checked, it goes for 25gold in the AH. These patterns have a much longer respawn time.

You could camp your toon in this building until your bag is full of schematics and patterns. Then you can use your hearthstone to start selling them. I usually place one schematic at a time so as to keep the price and the demand high. Buying and reselling patterns takes a lot of patience. Don’t be impatient and place your inventory of patterns and schematics all at the same time. You must keep the supply low and the demand high to fetch a good price on your products. That’s how you do this kind of business. There are more recipes you can resell. Stay tuned for more.

WoW Gold, You Set the Auction House Prices?

If you’ve been playing for a while or you bought a crazy amount of gold (which we know you would never, ever do!), you have a unique opportunity to turn that into a constant stream of gold for your characters. However, this doesn’t happen immediately and it doesn’t happen without a good deal of effort. You may think you want to stop reading now, but if you truly want to know a great way to keep gold rolling in then you should keep reading.

Ok. Ready to know what you’re going to do? You’re going to be the one controlling the auction prices and be raking in the profits! Before you get started you should know that players aren’t going to appreciate what you’re about to do. For that reason, you may want to make an alt that you keep in your home city for the sole purpose of being your banker/gold man. Once you have your banker ready, the first thing you’ll do is go to the auction house and find something, anything, that only has a handful of them available. It can be an herb, a food, a gem, a potion, or anything else. Buy every single one of them.

Next, you increase the price (don’t go crazy) and re-list them all back on the AH. Be sure to keep a close eye on the AH and don’t let players list them for less. When you see this happen you need to buy them immediately and re-list them at your price. Players will have to pay your price if they need the item because you are controlling the marketplace for it. You should do this with several different things, vary your portfolio so to say. Also, do each one only for a few weeks to a month and move to another one.
