Ever since the last patch, I seem to be getting more and more blue gems from prospecting Fel Iron Ore. These blue gems can sell for around 8-10g a stack depending on your server. To make money from this, you will need a high level of jewelcrafting (enough to prospect Fel Iron Ore)
and a starting budget of around 200g (the more the better).

Now all you have to do is go to the AH and buy as much Fel Iron Ore as you can and then prospect every single one of them. This may take some time but it is totally worth it. After prospecting all of them, you should get a few blue gems – either sell them as they are or cut them before selling. One of the best thing about this method is that it is very hard to lose money even if you get no blue gems! I have once gotten 32 blue gems and 128 green ones from 40 stacks of Fel Iron Ore. I average a return of 150% profit from this method, now THATS what I call good money!

After your first round of prospecting, you can repeat the method as many times you want… Or until you get bored

I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who buy hundreds of things from the AH each day. Now this sucks really bad when you have to retrieve the items out of your mailbox one-by-one… This is where this addon comes into play and has saved me hours of time! It’s called CTMail Mod . What it does is add 2 extra buttons at the top of your mailbox screen, simply click the "Open All" button and all the items will magically pop into your bags

I’m sure you’ve heard about this mod time and time again, but you don’t know what it is. Well this is honestly one of the best mods ever in order for you to make money from the AH. I recommend you downloading the AuctioneerAdvancedSuite which includes other addons such as Enchantrix etc.

So how do you use this addon? Well I’m not going to explain to you how to install the addon (refer to this ) but rather how to use this one in particular

First off, we need to get some saved variables onto your computer. These are the files that support Auctioneer which are gathered from auction scans. Auction scans are optional scans that happen everytime you login (called "daily scans" for some reason). They’re used to gather averages and percentages for items in the Auction House, I advise you to scan around once a day (hence the name "daily scans" I guess ) and no more than 2 otherwise it may scan the same auction twice and mess up stats. These stats are used by Auctioneer later and are used to optimize your bids and make you more money in the long run. To make auctioneer load everytime you login, type in the command /auctioneer load always . For the first few days, just let it scan the AH before you start doing whatever you do in a normal day of playing WoW.

Now comes the fun part – after you’ve done this for a bit over a week, scan the AH again (this must be done each time you use the Auctioneer Mod) and then go to the Search Auctions panel (not the first one). If you’re more experienced, you can mess around with the percentages a prices but if you aren’t, just hit search. You should now get a lot of auctions with information such as bid price and the amount of profit made from selling this items (based on the averages you gathered before by scanning). Now go and search for profit auctions under buyout prices, IMO this is the best place to do your buying as you can resell it immediately after buying. Now all you gotta do is to find some cheap items that are below the average and resell it immediately to make decent profit in minutes

Of course, this is just the basics of using Auctioneer Mod. There are many strategies which take both skill and experience so just mess around with this awesome mod for now.

By the way: Mods are 100% allowed in WoW, hundreds of thousands of people use this mod and it will not get you banned!

Since I’ve been selling gems for ages, I basically know which gems sell and which gems don’t sell. I’ve also learnt how to dominate and control whole markets! One of the best markets I’ve controlled was the Bright Living Rubies. Now here is what I did:
NOTE : You obviously have to be rich to do this!

1. Buy all the Bright Living Rubies is the Auction House for the right prices (ie. don’t buy any that are above your selling price). By doing this, no one can buy the Bright Living Rubies for the usual price: Low Stock = Higher Demand = More profit
2. Now after the price has gone a lot (be sure you are still buying out all the Rubies!), send a few of your Rubies to an alt account
3. Have the alt put them up at around 2.5x the amount you paid for them, people will think that this is now the normal price
4. By the time you have around 100 Bright Living Rubies on your main account, put them on the AH at around 50g less than the price you did with your alt account (eg. if you made the price go to 125g with your alt, put it up for 75g on your main) and then have the buyout price at 99g
5. Spam the trade "In the AH now! Bright Living Rubies for only 75g! 50g cheaper than usual price!" or something along those lines
6. Be sure to still control the market – buy all the Rubies that are sold below your price. Make it so only YOU are selling Bright Living Rubies!

This can be done with any market really, a friend of mine controlled the flask market for a few months. It’s a great way to make a lot of money… If you had the money to start of with.
