While doing you’re dailies with the Sons of Hodir, you might want to take some time grinding for Mammoth and Worm meat before turning your quest in. The quest in question is Polishing the Helm, which is done inside the Hibernal Cavern just west of Dun Niffelem.
Inside the cave you can find the worms that drop Worm Meat. If you go there during off peak hours, you would have the cave all on your own. The respawn rate is good that you could go in circles without spending any downtime. That’s if you are the lone farmer in the Hibernal Cavern. You could fill your bags with Worm Meat or save some space for some Chunk O’ Mammoth that could be farmed just outside the cave.
Speaking of the mammoths, there are two packs of mammoths outside the cave. What I usually do is to kill the Mammoths and then go in the Hibernal Cavern, kill the worms and then go back out just in time for the respawn of the mammoths.
This grind would be a lot more profitable if you’re a skinner as well. The mammoths and worms are skinnable therefore there’s a chance that you could get an Arctic Fur or two in an hour. This is valuable and always in demand.
As for the meat, you could either cook them or sell them as is. It will depend on the status of your server’s market. In my server, I have observed that worm meat sells higher when cook while mammoth meat is best served raw. Maybe it might be different in your realm. Cooked meat is in demand, especially with raiders. Well fed buffs can give them the much needed bonus to last the boss fights.
I usually place stacks of five in the Auction House for cooked food while I place a full stack of twenty for raw meat. The reason for this is because raiders most likely would buy small amounts of cooked food before their raids while those wanting to level their cooking skill would buy meat in bulk.
Mammoth and worm meat can bring easy WOW gold for you. Plus you can do the farming while you’re at your daily quest rotation. That’s making the most of your time. You’re already at the spot; you might as well milk it for what it’s worth.
