The best way to build up your crafting profession is to wait until you’ve reached level 30. At lower levels you might reach a point in which you need a certain item that is way beyond your strength. Yes, you might be able to gather mats while questing and reach up to around 110 of your crafting profession only to observe that you can’t get pass that because you don’t have the required mats.

Plus you can’t be an Artisan in a profession until you reach level 35. Plus you need to save your gold for the mount. It is essential that you must first get a mount and then level your crafting profession. Before level 40, you should spend your time on grinding for gold and leveling through questing.

Once you reach level 5, you can already choose to learn 2 professions. You should train in two gathering professions. You can choose skinning/mining or skinning/herbalism. You can’t be an herbalist/miner because you can’t use two trackers at the same time.

Then you have to decide on a crafting skill you would take in the future so that you can save the mats you might need for that profession. If you choose to be a skinner/miner then wishes to be a leatherworker in the future then you can sell the ores in the Auction House while keeping all the leathers you can gather.

By the time you reach level 30, you would have enough gold for the mount and class skills. This would be the right time to drop one gathering skill and train a crafting profession. Then head to your bank and start power leveling your chosen skill.

Depending on the number of mats you might have gathered, you’ll be going from Apprentice to Artisan quickly. You might hit a snag at 225 skill points because you lack the materials but at your current level you’ll be able to secure the mats easily. Or if you made a killing selling items you gathered then you can farm the Auction House for your requirements.

If you choose to be an Enchanter, then choose Herbalism as your other profession. That way it will serve as an additional income generator. Sell the herbs you gather. These are profitable at present because of Inscription profession.

If you want to be a Tailor, you must not be tempted to train for it right away. Keep in mind that cloths sell. There is demand for it. You could make a couple of gold from the cloths first and when you reach level 30 then you can train your Tailoring.

Fishing for Gold

They say fishing in the World of Warcraft can’t bring in gold. Those who say this probably don’t know about the daily fishing quests available.

If you’re one of those who leveled their fishing skill to the max then you can easily make gold doing the daily fishing quest. Having good fishing gear can also be an advantage because the fishes that are required for the daily fishing quests are difficult to catch.

There are five daily fishing quests but only one would be available each day. Just like the daily dungeon and daily battleground quests, the daily fishing quest would be randomly selected. You can only do one daily fishing quest per day.

The quests are given by Old Man Barlo in the lake just outside Shattrath City. Each fishing quest has the same chance to be chosen. That means that a quest will be available once in five days. Though there might come a time that a quest would be available twice or thrice in a row. There’s also the chance that you might not see the quests in a week.

The five fishing quests are:

· Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy

You have to catch fish in Zangarmarsh and obtain shrimp from them.

· Bait Bandits

You have to catch a Blackfin Darter from the Terokkar Forest and bring it back to Old Man Barlo.

· The One That Got Away

You have to catch the World’s Largest Mudfish from Nagrand.

· Felblood Fillet

You have to catch a Montrous Felblood Snapper. This can be found from Shadowmoon Valley or Hellfire Peninsula.

· Crocolisks in the City

You have to find a Baby Crocolisk. Horde can find one in Orgrimmar and the Alliance can find one in Stormwind.

The reward for the daily fishing quests is a Bag of FishingTreasures. The contents are treasure indeed. You get not only gold from the bag, but you’ll find essential items that you might use with your fishing. The Crocolisks in the City would randomly reward vanity pets.

If you’ve checked with Old Man Marlo and the daily is one that you don’t like, then don’t do it. Daily fishing quests are made so that avid fishermen of the World of Warcraft can enjoy fishing while earning gold. The gold is not just from the reward. The fishes you’ll catch while doing the daily could be sold for gold in the Auction House as well.

Smelting for Gold

It’s already been established that gathering professions are an excellent way to start saving up a good amount of WoW gold (skinning, herbalism, and mining). We talked about how skinning will easily bring in some gold, and how easy it is to level that profession. What about mining, though? Mining can be quite an effective gold making choice. Not only will you be collecting precious metals, but you can also count on building up a good number of rare gems that will sell well.

A good rule of thumb to remember is not to sell your stacks of copper other and such just as they are. You need to continue to train as you level your mining so that you can always smelt them into bars. They usually sell better this way. Smelted bars are needed by many players in several professions, so check the auction house on your server to see what is selling best.

There is a downfall to mining, if you want to call it that. It can be time consuming which annoys many players. Be sure to keep your radar open to track nodes so you don’t miss any. Many times they are found in and around questing areas, but sometimes they are off the beaten path.

Raking in WoW Gold with Alchemy?

As you level your character you will most likely find it very helpful to have a steady supply of healing potions, mana potions, or both depending on what class of character you choose. Choosing alchemy can seem like a smart move for just about anyone for this reason. However, there’s another good reason to choose alchemy as a profession. There are many positions and elixirs that players will pay very nicely for ? especially when you get end game roles and start needing things like flasks. ?

Depending on the server, flasks can sell for at least 50 gold a pop! Many high level instances and raids are much easier when each member of the group has the right potions, elixirs, and flasks that they need. In fact, many guilds will require you to have a certain amount of them because it can literally be the difference between a wipe or successfully downing a boss. Hopefully, your guild has some dedicated alchemists who can provide these at discounts… you could be an asset to the guild if you are one of them. ?

Should you choose to go with alchemy as a profession, you should strongly consider making herbalism your other profession. It just makes it that much easier later in the game to make high dollar pots when you can farm the mates yourself. Plus, you can pocket all of the profit and not have to re-invest in mats. Of course, again, your guild may have an herbalist that you can strike up a deal with. ?
