Rhino Meat is in demand these days because of the Daily Cooking Quest that requires you to make 4 Rhino Dogs. There are several zones where you can find Rhinos in the World of Warcraft but I found out that the Borean Tundra is the best source for Rhino meat.
Go around (43, 74) up to (48, 72) in the Borean Tundra to find herds of Rhinos just waiting for you to slaughter them. These Rhinos travel in groups of 5 and are not hostile, making it safe for farming. The mobs are Wooly Rhino Matriarchs and Wooly Rhino Calves. They only have melee attacks, which makes AoE farming suitable in this situation. But even melee farmers can make this a profitable endeavor because the Rhinos have low hit points, thus it’s easy to kill them especially at level 80. Just be aware of nearby Wooly Rhino Bulls. These are red mobs that are a little bit tougher but would not be a problem for a max level toon.
Another area would be just south of Amber Ledge (46, 41). There are a couple herds of Rhinos that spawn in the area.
Rhino Meat at my server sells for 1gold each. The drop rate is amazing that in just 30 minutes you can get at least 5 stacks of Rhino Meat. That’s 100g if you sold them all at the Auction House. If you’re a cook then you can use them in various recipes such as Hearty Rhino, Mighty Rhino Dogs, Rhino Dogs, Rhinolicious Wyrmsteak and Small Feast.
If you’re a Skinner as well then you can double that amount without easily. The Rhinos are skinnable and you could amass lots of Borean Leathers and the occasional Artic Fur in the process. Borean Leathers go for at least 20gold per stack of 20. Arctic Leathers are more expensive and go for 50gold each. Although the drop rate for Arctic Fur is at 1%, you would probably get one an hour. That makes grinding Rhinos for their meat and leather a feasible way of getting World of Warcraft gold.
