Since I’ve been selling gems for ages, I basically know which gems sell and which gems don’t sell. I’ve also learnt how to dominate and control whole markets! One of the best markets I’ve controlled was the Bright Living Rubies. Now here is what I did:
NOTE : You obviously have to be rich to do this!
- Buy all the Bright Living Rubies is the Auction House for the right prices (ie. don’t buy any that are above your selling price). By doing this, no one can buy the Bright Living Rubies for the usual price: Low Stock = Higher Demand = More profit
- Now after the price has gone a lot (be sure you are still buying out all the Rubies!), send a few of your Rubies to an alt account
- Have the alt put them up at around 2.5x the amount you paid for them, people will think that this is now the normal price
- By the time you have around 100 Bright Living Rubies on your main account, put them on the AH at around 50g less than the price you did with your alt account (eg. if you made the price go to 125g with your alt, put it up for 75g on your main) and then have the buyout price at 99g
- Spam the trade "In the AH now! Bright Living Rubies for only 75g! 50g cheaper than usual price!" or something along those lines
- Be sure to still control the market – buy all the Rubies that are sold below your price. Make it so only YOU are selling Bright Living Rubies!
This can be done with any market really, a friend of mine controlled the flask market for a few months. It’s a great way to make a lot of money… If you had the money to start of with.
