Felwood is a corrupted forest north of Ashenvale. It might not be as popular as the other farming spots but it still is worth grinding on.
First thing you’ll notice when you get to Felwood is that it is filled with Angerclaw Maulers. They’re all over the place but the best spot to grind for the bears would be at (42,63). You might also want to try going to the north east of Bloodvenom Post (37,43). Around 12 to 154 bears spawn at a spot, which you can kill easily.
These Angerclaw Maulers might not drop any money but they do drop good vendor trash such as large bear bones, bear jaws, and savage bear claws. Not to mention the green items that often drops as well. During my last grind, I was lucky enough to pick up Blade of the Titan, a blue two-handed sword that I sold for 100gold.
Skinners would love skinning the Angerclaw Maulers for their Rugged Leathers and Thick Leathers. These items can bring in lots of WoW gold for a skinner. Not only that, Angerclaw Maulers drop Bear Flank, which is an excellent item to farm if you’re trying to level up your cooking skill.
The Angerclaw Maulers are not usually farmed; therefore you’ll not be having any competition for the spots. Based on my own experience, I got around 30 to 40gold in an hour.
If killing bears is not your thing then you can hunt down Jadefire demons instead. You can find their camp at Jadefire Run, which is foud at the northern part of Felwood. Among the types found in this place are Betrayer, Felsworn, Hellcaller, Rogue, Satyr, Shadowstalker, and Trickster. The Jadefire Rogue drops the Recipe: Elixir of the Mongoose.
These satyrs have a good drop rate for world drops. These mobs drop 2 to 8 silver per kill. Add to that the runecloths and the occasional felcloth, which sells for 1gold a piece in my server. What’s nice about these mobs is that they die fast. The down side is that these satyrs are heavily farm. So expect some competition when grinding on these mobs. You might want to farm these mobs during the off peak hours.
Felwood farming might not be that popular but it can still be profitable to you. You should place the Jadefire Satyrs and the Angerclaw Maulers in your list of farmin
