Mote of Fire Farming Spots

Like most motes, Mote of Fire is used to make different items. Engineers need them to make Elemental Blasting Powder. Alchemists need them for Elixir of Major Firepower. Enchanters use them for Enchant Shield – Resistance. Combine ten motes and you’ll get a Primal Fire. Now this is an important reagent to make a lot of epic items notably Belt of Blasting, Dawnsteel Bracers, Girdle of Ruination, Gyro-Balanced Khorium Destroyer, Hard Khorium Battlefists, Iceguard Breastplate, Netherdrake Gloves, Red Belt of Battle, The Frozen Eye, Windstrike Gloves and a lot more.

Mote of Fire farming is great business. A single Mote of Fire is priced at 3gold in my server’s Auction House. Just like any other mote in the World of Warcraft, Mote of Fire could be farmed from several spots but if you’re looking for efficient farming spots then here are some of them.

The Elemental Plateau in Nagrand may still be the spot with the best drop rate but it is also the most crowded spot. The Raging Fire Souls do have fast respawn rates but it can’t make up for the farming population therefore it is best to avoid this spot and try the others.

First on the list is the Throne of Kil’jaeden area located at the northeast of Hellfire Peninsula. The Incandescent Fel Sparks, which are level 70 to 72, are hard mobs to kill but I observed that they have the best drop rate among fire elementals. What I do is to do the daily in the area while farmingThe daily could be gotten from Magistrix Seyla. That way I hit two birds with one stone.

You could also farm for Mote of Fire in the middle of Shadowmoon Valley. There are lots of Enraged Fire Spirits elementals in that area. And if by chance you finished them off and they haven’t respawned yet, you can kill earth elementals in between. You have to be careful of the lava in the area. Be sure to be pulling the mobs in solid ground.

Melee classes (warriors and rogues) would enjoy farming Searing Elementals at the Blade’s Edge Mountains for Mote of Fire. These are level 67 to 68 and could easily be killed by a level 70. There are also Scorch Imps in the area that you can kill for Netherweave Cloth as well.

There are more spots where fire elemental roam but these are by far the most profitable spots to farm.

Valkor's Gold Making Guide for World of Warcraft is another great book for helping you get enough gold for an Epic Mount in under ten days.

And don't forget the most popular guide of all: Warcraft Riches.
