Mote of Life might be the cheapest elemental mote in the Auction House but still it would not be a waste of time farming for these. There are lots of spots in the Zangarmarsh where you can grind for Motes of Life.
The opinions might differ as to where the best grinding spot might be. Most of the farmers would go to The Spawning Glen and the Quagg Ridge for their farming needs. Though the Bog Lords, Starving Bog Lords, Fungal Giants and Starving Fungal Giants do have decent drop rates and are relatively close to each other, these areas are overpopulated and therefore could not be worth your time.
It is essential for farmers to know that it is not only the drop rates that need to be considered when farming for something. You must also consider the crowd and the kill rate. If you have the area all to yourself then consider that spot as a great farming spot.
For Mote of Life, the best place to farm considering the three factors would be The Lagoon. Here is where you can find lots of Lagoon Walkers. The Lagoon is relatively quiet farming spot. You might even be the only one farming here. Plus the Lagoon Walkers could be easily killed. Thus giving this spot a perfect 3 out of 3 in the farming scoreboard.
The respawn rate of the Lagoon Walkers is great. The Lagoon has two islands. First kill all the Lagoon Walkers from an island. When you clear it, hop into the second island. While clearing the second island, you’ll notice that the mobs on the first island will be respawning.
Another bonus is the other drops. Lagoon Walkers have high drop rates for Creeping Moss and Blighted Fungus. These gray items could fetch a considerable amount when sold to a NPC. Also they drop Unidentified Plant Parts. These could be turned in for Cenarion Expedition rep until honored. These could also be sold at the Auction House for25silver each. Not only that, you could also get various green items that you can put in the AH as well.
You should take note that the Lagoon Walkers don’t give any Sporeggar reps. Herbalism can’t also herbalized them for extra herbs. Even with these limitations, grinding Lagoon Walkers for Mote of Life is worth it. Try it out today and I promise you that you won’t regret every second of it.
