Who said that you need to have a high level to enjoy earning gold? I say you can start earning gold even at a very low level. One way to do is so is through old fashioned pattern selling. All you need is to know where to find those limited recipes that even a lot of old payers don’t know about. Some might think that the recipe is a rare dropped that they would be willing to buy it on the AH instead of asking where to buy it for a lot less.
One of the recipes I have in mind is Pattern: Herbalist’s Gloves. This is available through Harlown Darkweave, an alliance only vendor that could be found in Ashenvale (19.58). Aside from the said pattern, he also sells other common trade items such as Black Dye, Blue Dye, Coarse Thread, Fine Thread and a lot more.
The recipe, Pattern: Herbalist’s Gloves is only available for alliance characters for 18 silver. It is a limited item with a 30 minute timer. Therefore those on the horde side would pay a lot of gold for it. Once I saw it selling for 50 gold but that’s too much. Under normal circumstances, you could sell it at a neutral Auction House, such as the one in Booty Bay, for 10gold.
If you’re a Leatherworker as well then you can also make 5gold by selling the Herbalist Gloves. Just like the Pattern, these gloves are rare on the Horde side. Selling both the gloves and the pattern would bring in lots of WoW gold. But keep in mind that you must only place a pattern at a time in the AH to avoid over saturating your market and to keep the demand high.
If you’re an Herbalist as well that this Pattern will truly serve you in the long run. With these gloves, herbalists get +5 to their Herbalism skill. If you’re a Tauren Herbalist and you have the Herbalist Gloves enchanted with Advanced Herbalism then you’ll have a maximum Herbalism of 400.
Lower level herbalist can earn more gold than miners of the same level. You might be surprised by this but it’s true. Silverleaf fetches more than Copper does. A single Silverleaf can be sold on the AH for 4 silver while a Cooper Bar would only be priced at 10 silver.
As you can see, knowledge means gold in the World of Warcraft. Be sure to check this blog regularly for more tips on how to generate more gold. There might be stuff such as the Pattern: Herbalist’s Gloves that you might have missed out on and wished you could have known sooner.
