The Crusade for the Crusader

Before The Burning Crusade came, every melee class wanted their weapon to be enchanted with the Crusader enchant. During that time, Tyr’s Hand and the Western Plaguelands would be crowded with farmers looking for the Formula: Enchant Weapon – Crusader.

A weapon enchanted with Crusader would be much more powerful than those without it. When it proc, it will give the weapon’s wielder with much greater power. Not only that, it would occasional heal the wielder as well.

Although the effect is lessen for those above level 60, I can see some still putting it on their weapons at level 70. At level 70, Crusader increases the strength by 60. I don’t recommend this though and should stick with Mongoose at that level.

But for lower level twinks, Crusader will do the job. That’s why even with Mongoose around, Crusader still fetches a hefty amount of gold. On my server, the price ranges of the Formula: Enchant Weapon- Crusader is between 100 to 200gold.

If you’re an Enchanter, you can offer this enchant for gold as well. Well it would depend on your server. Judging from the way enchanters do business on my server, they tend to do it for tips and sometimes for free.

Anyway, the best spot to farm for the Formula: Enchant Weapon – Crusader is in the Western Plaguelands. The tower at (54,23) is the perfect spot to farm for this. Just kill all the Scarlet Spellbinders that spawn in this spot. You must be ready for some competition tough. On some days, this spot can be overpopulated.

If the spot at the Western Plaguelands is crowded, head to the Eastern Plaguelands. Scarlet Archmages are known to drop the formula as well. Not only that, it is an open secret that Tyr’s Hand is one of the best gold farming spots in World of Warcraft.

Each Scarlet Crusader drops a considerable amount of gold and green items. Blue and even purple items are also known to be dropped by the mobs. Although the mobs in Tyr’s Hand are elites, 60+ toons will have no problem soloing them. Classes that will have an easy time in this area would be hunters, rogues, warlocks and mages. Well, just like the case of known farming spots, Tyr’s Hand can also be overfarmed.

Grinding is fun especially if you have a goal in mind. Farming for the Formula: Enchant Weapon – Crusader would be profitable. Not only will you obtain the formula, you will also get a lot of loots along with it such as runeclothes which you can sell in the AH as well.
